Some of the matchups this weekend looks good. Leicester City beat Birmingham City on Monday 3-2 and Liverpool laid a beating on West Ham by a score of 5-1. There were some League Cup games this week as well. We will see more games in the next few weeks of the holidays.
There have been tons of mid-week games now as we get into the winter. They will each meet each other as the weeks go on and every game will be extremely valuable. Still very close and could be anyone’s for the taking. Tottenham, who also held the top spot for a bit, is in 5th with 33 points. In 4th with 34 points is Manchester City, who at point, was the 1st seed for a while.
Aston Villa has played very well and are tied with Liverpool but are in 3rd with the tiebreaker. Right behind them in Liverpool with 38 points and these 2 teams will face off this week. The top spot in the table is currently held by Arsenal with 39 points. Everton, Chelsea, Newcastle and Arsenal all did not concede a goal. Last weekend we saw a lot of zeroes on the board. Here we are entering week 18 of the season and the same 5 teams have claimed the top spots.
